L3 SYSTEMS ENGINEER - US EST SHIFT MSP ENVIRONMENT - Please only apply if you have relevant experience, this is a senior position.

1. OVERVIEW :

- Vertel is a wholly owned, Australian national telecommunications carrier with over 40 years- experience delivering critical network infrastructure and services to some of Australia's best-known and most demanding Enterprise, Government and Service Provider organisations.

- This position is based in our Indian office in Noida, reporting to the Service Portfolio Manager.

- The ideal candidate will combine excellence in both the operational day-to-day execution as well as longer-term strategic planning to make the partners successful.

2. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Provide level 2 & level 3 computer support to clients over the phone or via remote into their computer while meeting client SLA obligations.

Key function : Help the projects team and client with cloud migrations from legacy systems and act as an escalation Engineer for Desktop, O365, Server, VPN, and other Operational support issues common in Enterprise environments.

2. Responsible for solving computer issues from clients and completing requests received from the Technical Services Coordinator.

3. Answer user inquiries to resolve desktop, server, and network issues.

4. Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment following design or installation specifications.

5. Confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.

6. Escalate unsolved issues or questions to the Systems Engineer Manager only after exhausting all options to fix the issue.

7. Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of operating systems or appropriate software.

8. Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, install, and perform testing activities on various computer equipment.

9. Make recommendations based on knowledge of computer equipment and systems, in order to improve user experience.

10. Actively participate as a strategic member of the technology team, including participating in team meeting and providing technical support for managed service clients.

11. Participate in internalexternal projects as required.

12. This is a hands-on role where the candidate would be expected to work under limited or no supervision and get results quickly.

3. REQUIRED SKILLS

- A passion for technology or industry experience is highly desirable

- Strong communication skills both verbal and written; you must have the ability to confidently present to a range of senior stakeholders Interpersonal and consultative skills

- Facilitation skills

- Analytical thinking and problem solving

- Being detail-oriented and capable of delivering a high level of accuracy

- Organizational skills

- Knowledge of business structure

- Understanding of networks, databases and other technology

- Ability to work as an individual contributor and perform under pressure, ambiguity

- Responsible for replying to and logging all inquiries received from clients via telephone, email, client portal or as they are delegated by the Technical Services Coordinator.

- Create properly formatted tickets on all inquiries in ticket service system.

- Provide daily communication to clients on outstanding ticket status.

- Maintain and develop Documentation wherever the need be, work in ambiguity by following known best practices.

- An attitude or general liking for fixing messy environments.

- A great attitude to help and assist clients without being fussy about being a L3 only or escalation only Engineer. Adapting as per needs.

- Have a great sense of priority handling, running customer meetings & interactions, leading a team, being on time and accurate and a general bias for action.

- Experience in MSP environments or start-ups is highly preferred

4. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE :

- Competency in diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing computer hardware, software and networking issues on PCs, servers, peripherals and related equipment.

- Advanced computer knowledge (Windows operating system, Hyper-V, VMware, etc.).- ESXi experience preferred

- Scripting language experience highly preferred - Powershell (hands-on)

- Ability to provide high level support in installing, optimizing, maintaining and securing of Microsoft Windows Servers, Active Directory, in-house and hosted Microsoft Exchange environments and Azure.

- Expert level in O365, Azure AD, Exchange, Datto, Okta etc.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to multitask.

- Detail oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills.

- Desire and demonstrated ability to continuously learn new technologies.

- Flexible with the ability to adapt and change schedule to meet deadlines.

- Strong customer service attitude and prior experience in a client service role.

- Works well independently and as part of a team.

- Experience with dealing with ticketing systems like Connect wise

- Experience with Citrix and PowerShell

- Familiarity with Cisco Networks is a plus.

- Troubleshooting Microsoft Outlook experience required.

- Applicable knowledge of the technologies used by the team.

- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.

5. QUALIFICATIONS :

- Bachelors in Tech or Computer Science

- MCSE desired.

- Azure Certification is a plus.
